I personally think its fine. Im willing to bet that if there are such things as spirits coming back to hang out, at least some of the lost soldiers would be thrilled to see people getting super excited to enjoy xmas. Yes, it can be very commercialized, but I know some special ladies (ahem, Dayna) who love Christmas for the pure joy of it.
I do agree though, that sometimes the celebration of xmas is too over the top. Like when they play xmas music on Halloween. (I’ve had it happen!) And I do believe that remembrance day should be a stat holiday in ALL provinces so that people give it more thought. We celebrate our not-even-current-queen’s bday but dont celebrate the hundreds of thousands of Canadian lives lost??
