
I hope you’re not reading this today. No, really. …Even if you aren’t celebrating Christmas (I know there are still some of you out there in this world that don’t observe it, even in the teeniest, tiniest, way…) I just really hope that you’re taking a moment today to take a personal time out for you. Remember that whole doing nothing I talked about? That’s exactly what this girl’s ordering today, and heaps of it for all of you out there. Log off and out (physically, mentally, emotionally) …and do something that inspires you to be grateful for this time, this day, exactly where you are in this moment. Indulge in some child-like delight and wonder in what is happening around you today; be amazed at the breath in your lungs, the pulse in your wrist, the wind in the trees, the sun on your face, the water in your tap, the starts in the sky – and even the smiles on the faces of all the people who’ll look at you in wonder (and curiosity) should you feel compelled to kneel down in the street before you, and give audible thanks for the inherent and abundant goodness of the world that is given to us today (and always, for that matter!) What things bring you the greatest joy? What moments in your life are so inexplicably wonderful that you cannot comprehend them without using the language of the soul, the heart, the spirit? …If we all managed to find even a small bit of joy and gratitude today in any one of the many gifts we already have, regardless of our personal observances and beliefs – peace on earth just may yet be possible. We all can do this today and during this holiday season; there’s nothing wrong with a little recharging! And remember this, today and always:
