Given that my career is dedicated to running Canada’s largest women’s-only boot camp, Booty Camp Fitness, my guess is that your first thought about me is that I’ve been a fitness buff my whole life, right? Insert buzzer noise: WRONG!
A little bit of background about me and Booty Camp. Let’s rewind to January 2005 and a New Year’s Resolution. Feeling not-so-great about my physical appearance I decided to transform my body. Armed with some nutritional information, a personal trainer, and a ton of determination, I got the results I desired and kept pushing forward to compete as a FAME fitness model!
My trainer inspired me so much that I got certified as a personal trainer, left my job and opened a personal training company specializing in women’s fitness. Eventually in 2007, my schedule was so packed that I decided to do group training in the form of a boot camp to fit in all of my clients – enter the birth of Booty Camp Fitness.
Since 2007 I’ve been on a mission to share Fun Friendly Fitness with the women of Canada. Building Booty Camp Fitness has been an amazing journey, and I’ve had the privilege of whipping 30,000 women into shape. My goal is to eventually reach 1,000,000 women in Canada, maybe even across the world!
So what’s my personal fitness philosophy?
Simple. It’s M.E.N.:
Only with “M.E.N.”, can we women get the fitness results that we so desire, whether that’s weight loss, staying fit/healthy, or having your booty look oh-so-sexy in your skinny jeans.
I’m pumped that Dayna has invited me to write for 20-something.ca – I’m looking forward to blogging about my experiences as a female entrepreneur, my crazy-busy life and of course, getting to know YOU, all the fabulous readers of 20-something.ca! What would you like to read in my column here on the site? Suggestions and feedback are always welcome!
